Allow the admins to reorder articles added to a "News Articles" page. Otherwise more significant articles may not be seen by homeowners.

I would like the ability to change the order of our News & Updates articles in the What's Happening emails so that the NEWEST articles are on top. Currently, the most current articles are not showing up in the email preview, and residents may not go to the site to find an article that they don't know exists!

Jamie Kinn: Please review the following post, which explains why the news articles that feed into the What's Happening email are ordered this way: https://feedback.hoa-express.com/bug-reports/p/order-of-recent-new-articles-in-whats-happening-newsletter.

Meredith Owens: I have previously reviewed that article, and while I appreciate your logic in "why" the articles appear that way, I think that it is important for HOA Express to understand (and be reminded) that your users do not "want" the news articles to appear that way, and that it should be important to find a way to allow users to actually "use" their community's website in a way that functions best for them. If the chronological order can't be changed, then the ability to drag & reposition the articles would an alternative. I don't necessarily want to delete older articles, they may contain helpful information, but I DO want our residents to see newer (or what we consider more important) articles first (and in their previews. Thanks!

Ability to drag news articles to position them

I'd like to be able to change the sequence of news articles by dragging them into position.

Sorting options for news articles

Include different sorting options for published articles on a "News Articles" page.
To consider this request further, we'll need to know what type of sorting options you'd like to see provided.

Ability to rearrange articles on News & Announcements page needed
Gary Tiffany
I like the change made to the What's Happening emails, but I'd like to see a further change implemented. Our community relies heavily on the "News articles" page to communicate many different articles of interest to our residents, both from our community itself and from the surrounding town. These announcements generally appear at the top of the What's Happening email.
We add additional information and articles to the page throughout the week as they come up. However, there is currently no way to rearrange the articles to better highlight things we want to emphasize after they've been added to the page. The only workaround we've found is to delete an article and republish it so it appears higher and in the order we want, which is a lot of extra work.
I'd like the ability to rearrange the articles by drag-and-drop on the page, much like we can rearrange pages in the Admin Portal by dragging them to a new position. This would make it SO much easier.

Change order of news articles

Be able to charge order of articles manually or automatically sort by a value (such as name, designated date of publishing (a new field)).
Gina Arasin
Definitely need this feature! I want the most important articles to appear at the top of the What's Happening email. Unfortunately, I end up deleting/recreating news articles to adjust the sequence.
Gina Arasin
Agreed. I end up deleting and reentering news articles to appear on top.

News Page Updates

The current system sequences the newest "New" story at the top...but if we update an "Old" story it remains sequenced where it was originally placed. Ideally the News Page stories should be sequenced with the most recent story -- regardless of whether or not it's 'new' or an 'update' of an older story -- at the top!

Reorder Modified or Edited News Articles

Sometimes there’s a need to provide updates to various news articles previously posted. Would be great if those could be highlighted on the What's Happening email and reordered to the top of the page.

This would be a big improvement. Currently the only way to move up a news article to the top is to create and publish a new version by copying and pasting, and then deleting the old one. Cumbersome. We need the flexibility to display news by order of importance, not order of creation.
