Add home phone number during registration

Add the ability for members to include their home phone number during registration, instead of the current process where they have to add the home phone number after-the-fact.

Yes, we definitely would like to see a field added for the home phone on the initial invite / registration page. Most of our residents have home phones and prefer to list this as their primary contact number. Some residents prefer to keep the cell phone #s private and then would not fill out this information in cell phone field when registering. We do not text our residents.

When registering an account, the phone number prompt should request Cell Phone Number. This should be the default as this is what is needed for text blasts. If the registrant also has a landline, they should be able to optionally add their landline. However, the cell phone number must be the default. Also, cell phones should be the default as more and more folks are ditching their landlines.

I have home and cell numbers for all of our residents, and it would be helpful to be able to include the home phone when registering or importing members.
I know members can add home phone number to their accounts afterward, but if we already have the home numbers, it's a waste of time (and requires more training) to have them add the home phone manually.

I agree with the need to add home phone and cell phone during registration - and to permit that info to be imported. Also it is needed for the telephone symbol to distinguish between cell and home phones. Cell phones used for text messages so a person needs to know which number they are using.

Susan Magnuson: A home phone number can currently be added by a member if they visit their "Account settings." I've included a screenshot of this below.
Since the home phone number is tied to the address, and that information is stored at the account level, this is not included as a field in the "Member settings." The "Member settings" only stores information that applies to the individual member.

Phone number maintenance process is seriously flawed. Without altering the process, Admins need the capability to update cell numbers for members.
One of the features that attracted us to HOA-Express was ability to send blast texts, which has become a preferred communications medium in our community...this is particularly true for alerting residents to emergency situations. A majority of the members have cell phones.
Currently the only way to add or modify a cell number is for the resident to log in and perform an update. Which is fine and meets security requirements but doesn't work in practicality. For one thing if a member doesn't have an email account, which is very common, they can't supply a phone number.
You can respond by saying that we should telling our residents to get an email account so that they can set up a Log In but that is not going to work.....just a lot effort to accomplish very little.
What actually happens is that the Members contact the Property Manager by phone to supply or update their phone number. The Property Manager then has to maintain a shadow file, instead of being ability to maintain the info inside HOA-Express and text blasting function is rendered ineffective.

It is nice to have a space for HOME and a space for CELL. I would really like to have a place for listing birthdays and anniversaries and also whether they are a Veteran and what branch of service.

Mary Jo Beefelt: Members can currently list a cell phone number on their member profile by logging in and adding this in their member settings (see screenshot below).
