It would be really helpful to have at least one custom field for each account - for instance "Dues paid", yes or no.

It unbelievable that this is been on the list since 2019!!! A predetermine number (5?) of user defined custom fields is a very normal part of contact databases and it's really nuts that HOA Express has not implemented this. This would not be a big task.

Scott Osburne: While this request has been open for several years, I can assure you it's still on our radar! Over the last several years, our product team's primary goal has been to develop and finish our next gen front ends. This has been a total rewrite of the existing front ends using new cutting-edge technology and design, so it's taken a while to complete.
We're in the last stage of this project, which is modernizing the front ends for the community website. That will need to be completed for us to build this functionality. Your vote has been added to this post, so you will be notified once we update its status!

Meredith, I get that the front end rewrite is the priority. My request for user-definable directory fields is backed up in another project that's been on hold for years. This long lag time suggests that HOA EXPRESS needs to take some management action to get these projects implemented faster starting with the front end rewrite. And, an important step would be to make a commitment to us clients by providing an anticipated go live date. Regards, Bruce

Bruce Greenan: Our team is actively improving our product at the fastest pace in the industry, and we post about it publicly on our changelog. While we’re a small company with a small team, we continue to expand our engineering team and accelerate the pace of product improvements year after year!
As for anticipated release dates, those are posted for features once they’re placed on our roadmap. You can see this for the requests currently “In progress.” A GIF of where to find this is provided below.
Also, with nearly 500 open feature requests that we’re actively considering, I’m afraid we’re not able to place every feature request on the roadmap at once. You can read more about how we approach handling these requests here.

I've been waiting for 3 years for custom fields in the directory! I was told in 2024 the they were "coming." We need fields to store parking space numbers, etc.

A custom field that we could individually name and use would be great. I would love to track electronic delivery authorization.

I agree. It would be nice to have that so that dues-paying members who don't use the online payment option could be captured in the online database

We have 8 neighborhoods in our community. I would love to be able to enter their neighborhood's name in a custom field. To have that field then show up on the Directory with their name and address (or have a choice to make it public or not), and be exportable would be so helpful.

User configurable membership directory

Our articles of incorporation and bylaws make our membership directory the official shareholder listing as well as the typical directory. This means we need some (probably) unique fields as well as the usual ones in our directory. Do you anticipate a time when the membership directory will have a number of user-configurable fields so that we can capture all of the data we need so that our HOA Express directory allows us to do away with our Excel files and reconciliation efforts?

Agree with everyone that having the ability to create custom fields (license plalce, parking space #, emergency contacts, etc.) and associate them with the account records would be useful. Also some fields controlled by members (e.g. emergency contacts info) and some field controlled by the association (e. g. parking space allocation.
