Notifications system
Meredith Owens
Develop a notifications system that would function similar to one on a social network, like Facebook or Twitter. This would appear in a dropdown and/or its own page and would list new items that pertain to the member.

Notification note on homepage
JoAnn Rapp
Wanted to get the option of posting an event that's temporary or an alert on front page, ie. zoom link for board meeting for community or if an event was cancelled, etc. Having a flexible note that can be posted on a temporary basis will be helpful with communication in our neighborhood.

I for one am frequently annoyed by social media and webmail pop-up notifications while trying to do something, like typing this. Notifications would have to be an opt-in feature. L

I would love to be able to set up auto notifications for board meetings and or events to residents along with reminders.

Mary West: Thank you for sharing this! We also have another request open for scheduling reminder emails for calendar events. You can view this here: https://feedback.hoa-express.com/feature-requests/p/schedule-reminder-emails-for-calendar-events.
I've added your vote to this post, so you'll be notified when we update its status!

If possible, it would work best and probably simpler if links to any updated pages could be added to the What's Happening email like newly uploaded documents are.

Chris Juzda: The What's Happening email includes notable new content added to your website and upcoming calendar events. You can view each piece of content that could be included in this email here: https://help.hoa-express.com/en/articles/2347432-about-what-s-happening-emails.
Any other content you'd like to notify members of right away, we recommend sending via blast email from your "Communications" section.

Meredith Owens: I know all this. My point was that instead of sending out email blasts with links every time we updated or added pages to the site which we do frequently and would create a lot of work, the what’s happening emails could pick this up automatically similarly to what they do now when we post a new document.
Meredith Owens
Chris Juzda: Thank you for clarifying this. I'm afraid we don't currently have plans to add all of that content to the What's Happening email, as that could lead to lengthy email notifications.
Instead, you could add an announcement about those new pages or general updates to a "News articles" page, with a link to the page. Doing so would also trigger that news article to be included in the What's Happening email.

What’s New button
Show latest site entries (regardless of sources) so the whole site does not need to be traversed – to see what is new.
A typical park web www site has multitude of features, and quite frankly is ‘huge-humongous’. Latest new entries by users and administrators are sprinkled throughout such a site and cannot be found quickly and readily…
If someone wants to see just the latest/newest posts quickly, he/she is out of luck. Since a general Search feature is not available, finding some things may be a challenge. (Going through the website finding bits and pieces here and there is just not feasible - viewer’s time may be limited).
Hence, it would be nice to have a tool showing a brief list of the latest entries made by whoever and located anywhere on the site. This list would be similar to the last of so many entries showing up under Activity Log, but only displaying links to the newest entries, leaving out the source info, etc. (The Activity Log is usually visible to Admins only - leaving regular users in dark).
To conclude, this would be a nice feature allowing users to home on the latest site info ASAP.
