URL to specific committee
Kevin Adler
Currently, if we mention a committee in a correspondence, and we want the reader to refer to the details of the committee on that committee page, we can only provide the general URL to the main committee page and the reader has to (be smart enough) scroll down to find the specific committee.
I would like to be able to include a URL that the reader can click on and click to see the details about that specific committee, and avoid the scrolling.

In general, I'd like to see this for any header entries on a page. I currently generate anchors for them when I create pages using Markdown and paste the HTML in as source, but automatic generation would be nice.

Steve Crooks: Would you please explain further exactly what you'd like to be able to do?

Meredith Owens: Any HTML element with an ID can be linked to on a page, to ensure it's at the top when the page loads. It's very common now to ensure that H1/H2/H3 elements have IDs for this purpose. For example,
<h3 id="group_members">Group Members</h3>
. Then the URL https:<your_domain>/<page>#group_members
jumps to the page AND scrolls automatically to the start of Group Members. That's a very
nice feature to have to link to specific parts of pages, instead of making the user scroll to find the right spot.Meredith Owens
Steve Crooks: Thank you for explaining this further! That is a feature we are open to considering implementing. Therefore, we've created a separate post for that here: https://feedback.hoa-express.com/feature-requests/p/assign-headers-unique-ids.
