Survey restrictions

Allow admins to specify to whom a survey is available to, instead of having it always be available to all members. This would function like the page restrictions.

We really need to restrict distribution to specific groups otherwise this is not a useful tool for us to use. This also applies if we want to test a survey to a small group to make sure it’s what we want to send out to all members. Currently we can’t do this without making the survey available to all members.

I would like to be able to select recipients for any surveys we create - just like we can select registered members to receive Eblast communications. Ideally, I should be able to send a survey to our board only in order to give them an opportunity to review it. Also, some survey issues pertain to selected condo owners / registered members. Your survey feature is good, it needs some work to make it great. Thanks - Ed Szeliga

Send surveys to a Group

I would like to be able to send survey's to a targeted group instead of the entire community.
The feature request would be to modify the "Limit one response per" options to include "Group".
If you select "Group", then another page would be available to allow you to select the Group(s) to target the survey to.

If I create a group, can I send the survey to only that group and not the rest of the registrants?
Meredith Owens
Susan Henk: I'm afraid that's not a possibility with the survey feature. Currently, when a new survey is created, it will be available to all of your registered members to view and submit a response. Therefore, we're looking at developing this feature request, which would allow you to make the survey available to only a particular group!

I agree with everyone here. Survey restrictions i.e. aka survey segmentation breakdowns would be very beneficial. In most communities, there are particular issues that impact some members but not all, so the ability to just ask the relevant population would be great.
In our example, our community is split into 5 districts. Each district has it's own representative on the board of directors. We would like the ability to survey our own districts independently vs having to survey everyone, which in some cases pollutes that data with people giving opinions on issues that really don't impact them.
Likewise sometimes districts have competing interests, such as... we don't want funds spent on that other district, we want those funds spent in ours.

This feature would be helpful to our community. Sooner the better.

We could use this feature when asking members on a specific street very specific questions. For instance, if there are 2 trees that need to be taken down, but we can only afford to do one this year, which one would you prefer we remove first? Only the people on that street would need to answer the survey.

I agree totally. We have several Groups on our Website. Contractors, Renters, etc.

I totally agree this is needed. There are many times we might want to poll a group (Board, ARC, Committee chairs) - at least some more options to send to groups we have created.

It would be very helpful to survey certain parties in our neighborhood, versus alerting the entire membership. The sooner the better. I can Beta this for you.
