Store cell phone numbers for partial members

Provide admins with the ability to add a cell phone number for a partial member. Currently, only full members (members who have an email address) can store a cell phone number and receive text messages.

Implementing this would allow:

Text messages to be sent to people without an email address
People without an email address to sign in

Please add this feature. We have several households who only want to maintain 1 email account but....would like to have a phone number in the residents listings.

This feature would also allow folks who share a household email address to be contacted personally- for instance they may be on the Board or a committee member but now there is no contact information for them if their phone doesn’t show up. please prioritize this feature! Thanks

Please add the ability to list a cell phone number for "partial" members. Like many who've commented before, we have households with only 1 email address - and their email providers don't support the "+" functionality - but multiple cell phones. We use text messaging from the website for time-sensitive, critical information (e.g., safety notices). We need to be able to communicate such messages as widely as possible. Thanks!

In a very senior community like ours, there are owners who just will not give out their email addresses, but are OK with the Board having their phone numbers

. The Board believes they need to have the phone numbers in case of emergency. So, if we are to rely on the website directory as the official roster for the Board to use, then phone number is a must have even if there is no email address.

One is a retired cardiologist and he is resolute about NOT using email -- only his phone.

We have lots of residents that share an email address. Suggest that the person with no email address use their cell phone number as their username and get messages directly.

I support this feature request as all members have cell phones but not all members have their own unique email address.

Wes Cossick: Yes, thanks. I sent that to the customer --they don't use gmail and their provider doesn't support the + option.

Wes Cossick: There are two separate issues being discussed here. The simple request is to allow adding a cell phone number for partial members - they still can't log in or access full features. As another commenter stated, many of our residents only want one email/login registration, but have provided us with alternate phone numbers to contact other members of the household. Right now there's no way to store those phone numbers in the account. The request to allow people to use either email OR phone number as their username for full member registration is a different issue.

I would like to suggest that the registration not be just based on an email account but either email OR a phone number. In communities with older residents they may not have an email BUT everyone has a phone number.

I agree with this- I'm in a 55 + type community and this would help tremendously as long as the number format is easy for users to complete please.
