Ability to schedule a "reminder" email (or resend email) about an event with same info as original email. This would include LINKS that were in original email. Currently if you copy the original you email the links have to be recreated.

I think of this feature as a reminder, not an announcement per se. For example, our Grounds Committee meets monthly with a recurring calendar entry, and I would like to send a reminder to committee members the morning of each occurrence (or on some other schedule).

I fully support the addition of this feature. Calendar reminders alone would be hepful as a blast email. Reminders for meetings are tedious and can often be overlooked. This would be a relatively easy tweak to the software.

Just a heads up, with the beta page management experience for calendar pages, we’ve redesigned how announcement emails are sent for events. Now, the announcements are sent like any other blast email, which means admins can customize the pre-generated content of the email and can schedule the email to be sent in the future! This addresses some of the components of this feature request, though we’re still considering the ability to schedule automatic reminder emails tied to the event’s start time (rather than needing manual scheduling).

To clarify my vote for this request: as part of the calendar event, allow setting up a reminder email to be sent, including selection of # (1, 2, etc) and unit (hour, day, week) for when it's sent, and who it goes to (a group or individual(s)). I am not requesting to "resend email", simply an auto-generated reminder of the calendar event similar to what is common in other calendar apps.

Completely agree. If an event is being organized with RSVPs for two months out (e.g. a holiday party) the. It would be nice to send out the reminders of the event still using the original Calendar event email blast and details.

Please add the capability to edit a calendar event and then add sending an email update to everyone so they can RSVP.
The community likes holding the date while working on details but then it becomes extra work to delete and add a new event which also wipes out RSVPs.

Please add the option to send email blasts when calendar items are edited/modified. Currently, when a calendar item is created, we have the option to send it out via email blast. But when a calendar item is edited, that option is not available.
