Pre-populate information on forms
Meredith Owens
If a member is logged in, pre-populate the name, email address, and phone number fields on "Contact Form" and "Custom Form" pages.

Also would like this. We're new to HOA-Express but I anticipate it will be a top complaint from owners using the forms.

Agree, we are using more custom forms and this would help with less typos and spelling errors or omission of all information.

Pre-fill form with member/account information
Mitch Letho
It would be very useful to allow the form to pull directly from the member or account data. For example, if the form prompt is capturing a name, that field would be prefilled accordingly.
If the form prompt was for a phone number, then that could be pre-filled too.

No one should ever be forced to enter basic information twice. Once and only once when they register - computers can remember and reload basic data.

Custom Form - Include submitter
Joseph Fry
Currently, the custom form only includes fields that the user fills out. If a logged in member completes the form, its annoying to ask them for their name and email address; we have that information and it should be included automatically.
This could be done several ways:
- add a member info field type
- add "member name", "member phone", etc as "details" for a field (which would only populate automatically if the person completing the form is a member)
- Include member info with every form submission

This is also useful on the reservation form. A user shouldn't have to re enter any profile information that is already in the system.

Jill McConnen: Just for clarification, if you've named a page on your website "reservation form," you've probably added a custom form page type, which is mentioned in my previous comment. We don't, though, offer a page type specifically for reservations.

This could also be applied to our custom form page type, however some designation would need to be made to indicate to our system that a particular field represented "their own email" or "their own name," since fields are understood more broadly as text fields right now.

Wes Cossick: How about some type of check box like what is used when you buy online that says is billing address the same as shipping? You could have a check box that says "Contact info same as member" or something like that.
Chris McConnell
Wes Cossick: Also, you could pre-populate it with info in your system and then allow the user to change it if they wish. We have been using the custom contact form more and more and the biggest gripe is that they have to fill it out every time. Also, we have found multiple typing error with phone numbers and email address when they type them in. Which really messes us up.
