New News Prompt Button
closed

Because the News panel at the foot of the homepage is pushed off the screen by a lengthy side menu, most users forget it even exists. It would be useful if all users have a flag set when a new news article is published, which causes a "News Update!" button to appear higher on their home page. When they click on it they are taken to the foot of the homepage to view the news panel, and the button is hidden again, until reset by the publishing of a new news article.

While we don't plan to implement this feature, we are considering allowing admins to send a notification email from the "News Articles" page when a new article is published. It sounds like this feature would meet your desire to have newly posted news articles be more noticeable!
Therefore, we recommend adding your vote to the following post: https://feedback.hoa-express.com/feature-requests/p/send-an-email-from-a-news-articles-page.

Does anyone have problem with copying and pasted from a cell phone and it puts doubles and you can get it to stop so you cancel the whole thing and use a computer instead?
Jeanne Eisenstein
Nikki Charpentier: Yes, I have several homeowners who only use their phones - we think it is an Android issue.

Nikki Charpentier: If you or a member in your community experiences this issue, please reach out to our customer success team for them to investigate this further.
We would need to know what operating system you're using and which browser(s) this behavior is occuring on. https://help.hoa-express.com/en/articles/2390052-contact-our-customer-success-team

This would be great, the button needs to be hidden and exposed on a user basis. Also if a particular user did not click on the button and a second or third article was published, then there should be a counter associated with the button to tell the user how many new articles he/she has waiting for them to review.

A common issue, beeds to be addressed

Great idea! It would also be nice to update the news article and the update date is shown instead of the original posting date; otherwise, it looks like "old news."

Bonnie Clements: We have a separate post open for this request, which you can view here: https://feedback.hoa-express.com/feature-requests/p/display-date-and-time-of-last-update-on-news-articles.

I would even suggest an option of placing new news articles at the top of the Home page.
Bonnie Clements
John Middleton: I agree that the news articles should be more prominent.
Janelle Miner
John Middleton: this is a much less-complicated solution.
