Member and account settings report
Galen Auch
We would like to be able to get a report of what each member has set for each of their member and account settings. This helps us understand what our members are selecting across our whole membership...

Yes, this would help in administering opt outs

I, too, would like the ability to export user settings. My HOA has an issue with homeowners saying "I didn't get that email/notice." I'd like to capture a snapshot of emails and settings prior to each major newsletter or notice. How do I know that, after not receiving a newsletter due to their settings, they hop on the web site and change settings and/or email addresses? I'm not looking to point fingers, but rather to be able to say to a homeowner: You didn't receive it because you opted out of these emails, or you misspelled your email address. It's a CYA thing.

What a member sets seems a bit like a privacy invasion. I wouldn't use your site if that is exposed. The purpose of some of those settings is to allow people to control their privacy while still using features.
Meredith Owens
Sidney Eaton: Currently, only administrators can view a member's contact and privacy preferences from the "Members" section in the Admin Control Panel. Below is a GIF showing where you can view this information.
The above request is to be able to generate a report of what those settings are, rather than going through and checking this individually. This information would not be visible to members without the "members" administrative privilege on the website.

Thanks, So you can export on either the member or account. You get two separate databases. Thanks,
Louise ONeil-Redd
Did the export of our members. Only thing I would like to see is their emails address. Or is there something I am missing?
Meredith Owens
Louise ONeil-Redd: If you'd like to view the contact information they have on their member profiles (e.g., email address and phone number), you'll want to export the "Member view" where that information is stored.

Thank you for the instructions on how to do this.

Margaret Stark, Peggy McDonough, Betty Ingerson: The registered users on your website will currently select which type of member they are when they register. To see this information, you'll need to visit the "Members" section and toggle over to "Account view." Underneath the individuals' names will be their account type. An example is provided below.
You can also click on the "Export" button in the "Account view" if you'd like to download a spreadsheet with this information. From there, you can sort this information in different ways.

Meredith Owens: But I want all the information on what they have checked on all the boxes under Member Settings. The exported report only shows the security group they are in and then their address and phone number etc. I want a more detailed report with all the account fields you store across all members, not just address and group. Does that make sense?
Meredith Owens
Galen Auch: Yes, that does make sense, and that is what we're considering with this feature request! In the above comment, I was clarifying for the others where they can currently locate the information they mentioned they couldn't find.
Galen Auch
Meredith Owens: (...me feeling just a bit foolish...you all do very good work and we thank you for all your help btw...)
Meredith Owens
Galen Auch: Not a problem at all. Thank you for your kind words—we're happy to hear you're enjoying our service! 😀
Betty Ingerson
Meredith Owens: It would be much simpler if we could get a report that simply lists our account types and the number of accounts registered in each acccount type. If we download the file, we need to do the summarization on our own. We only need the totals, not everyone's name and address, etc. We expect to have over 1000 registered users, with 4 or five different account types.
Betty Ingerson
We would also like to see counts by Account Type (Homeowners, Lot Owners, Condo Owners, Renters, etc.) It is very hard to find this kind of information. Ultimately, we need to be able to send e-mails to residents based on Account Type. Now e-mails go all members unless we select each one individually.
Meredith Owens
Betty Ingerson: When sending a blast email, you'll have the option to send a message to certain account types on your website. An example is provided below where you'll find this option.

We would also like to see if members are owners, renters, real estate agents. It is almost impossible to determine at this time.
Peggy McDonough
Margaret Stark: sorting and selecting to export to excel for counts would be great.
