Introduce "view-only" page restriction level
Jerome Fransua
At the moment, if a member meets the page restrictions to view a page, they also have the ability to interact with the page if it's interactable (e.g., comment on forum posts, create classified listings, post recipes, etc.). Instead, have two separate levels of page restrictions. One would be view-only, allowing people to view the page without having the ability to interact with the page. The other would be view+interact, which would be the same as it is now.
ORIGINAL POST:
Add Restrictions similar to other pages on who can post to Classifieds. Our HOA posts classifieds on behalf of vendors, so it would be great if homeowners couldn't post to it if we only allowed admins to do so.

I am also in favor of adding "view only" page restrictions. We are a small HOA & they want to sell advertising to community members to offset the costs of the site. This page restriction would enable us to implement this. Please add me to the update list. thanks!

I am in favor of split restrictions if a member deserves it. I do believe a member has the right to view a page, but restrictions should be implemented if certain members have no business posting on a particular "topic."

I also have had this request from my membership and would like to see this enhancement.

I am also in favor of limiting access... a member should always be allowed to view a locked page if "registered" but there is no need to allow modification to the site. Bob F

I am in favor of this feature allowing viewing and posting as 2 different rights/levels. We had to disable a member from posting but there is no reason that member should not be allowed to still view the posts of others. Please advise when we might see this feature implemented.

Kathy Longo: We don't have an estimated timeframe for implementing this feature yet. I've gone in and added your name to this post, so you'll be notified via email when our team updates its status!

Right now, page restrictions as a whole either allow the user to view and interact on a page, or not. What you're asking, it seems, is to split viewing and interacting into two separate levels of restrictions for pages. I'll update your post to align with this interpretation.
