Include "like" or "dislike" button on forum
Web Team Villages of Long Point Bay
I have been asked dozens of times if we can get a like or dislike emoji on our forum topics and comments. Any chance of that happening?

This might be its own separate request. Can we add a “like” button to the photo gallery? Preferably limited to 1 like per photo for each member. Then, members or admins can see a list of members who liked a photo. This could be used for running Halloween and Xmas decorating contests. NOTE: This is now its own feature request.

Gregory Lantz: Thank you for sharing this, Gregory! Yes, this would be a separate feature request from the above post. Therefore, we recommend creating a new post for this on the “Feature Requests” board. From there, we can review and gather feedback for this request separately!

why can't we have THIS SAME FEATURE on this page on our Discussion Forums??? I mean, it's a no-brainer, if it's already built, why can't we use it for ourselves??... I mean there's the "heart" where you can click if you like a comment. you can also "vote" on the topic being discussed. How can it be that THIS discussion forum has more features than the one that we have been sold? If it's good for the goose, it should be good for the gander...

Mariano Alvarez: To clarify, we haven't implemented the above feature yet on our "Forum" page. This request has been posted on our feedback portal, which is powered by Canny and is separate software from HOA Express.
Since you'd like to have similar capabilities available on the "Forum" page type, I've added your vote to this post, so you'll be notified of any updates to this feature request's status.

Meredith Owens: Thank you for your response Meredith. Yes, I noticed that this feature is powered by Canny, but this was after my response. It's ironic in a sense that you guys are using 3rd party solution when HOA Express users have been asking for this for quite some time. Don't get me wrong, I love HOA Express, I'd just like to see quicker implementation dates for all these features that would make HOA Express that much better!!

I would agree with a "like" but not a "dislike" button

Like button - Thumbs up would be fabulous

If the like and dislike buttons can be anonymous, I am all for it!
Mike Wish
I would support a "like" button. A dislike button could be particularly controversial in a small community setting to John Howard's point.

I would suggest a LIKE button.... but not a dislike button!!!!
John Howard
I would be a bit careful about this. We are not talking about a bunch of anonymous people in a forum open to the world, but a geographically small community where people know each other. Even though the likes and dislikes won’t identify individuals, someone a bit shy about posting might be put off by this, especially as “like” or “dislike” can have many connotations, depending on how the original post is worded. If someone makes a suggestion, for example, you may think the idea is good in principle, but not practical, so you “dislike” it. The nuance of your thoughts on the idea is missing.
