Provide admins with the ability to save a customized "Invite to join" message on the website. A screenshot of the default message is included below.
We would very much like this capability. Now we have to create it every time.
I would like to add my vote to this request
@Ed Scarlett: It looks like your vote has been added! Thank you for letting us know this is a capability you'd like to see included in our interface. Also, when our team updates this post's status, you'll be notified via email.
We would also like to have the ability to create our own default "Invite to Join" message. The workaround I've been using is to write what I want to say in Word, then copy and paste. That works, but it gets tedious. It would also be nice to have a history of these emails that I've sent out.
@Stephen Sacco: Your last request to have a history of the "invite to join" emails that are sent out is a separate request from this post. If this is something that would be important to your community to have, we encourage you to create a new post for this specific feature request.
This is most important! Depending on which admin that needs to do the inviting, time of year ---- what have you, this is a must to be able to have a consistent message catered to our voice. We have to edit this every time there is a new member/homeowner because the default is not what we want. Please work on this! Much is appreciated!
This would be good to have; As the admin for the site, I would like to save the emails I send out. I tried to include myself in the email list but could not as it said I was already sent the email. So was not able to save a copy.
Hi - I believe it isn’t the invite that is a problem at the moment, but the thank you for registering email. Can we request a custom one for us?
@Betty Morris: Since this request is separate from the request on this post, would you please create a new post for this? In the details of that post, please also provide a screenshot or subject line of the exact email you're referring to.
Also, changes made to our interface are released to all communities using our service. Since we don't make changes for individual communities, we have to keep in mind how a new capability will affect everyone using our service.
We'd like to change and save any and all system generated messages...It creates an issue with our members when the reply email says they have ability to post messages and we do not want to provide that ability. We may not be able to subscribe and roll this out to our members if we cannot customize the "Thanks for registering" system generated email and we were hoping to do so within the next 30 days. Can you tell us when that option will be ready?
@Betty Morris: Having the ability to customize any and all system-generated messages is a broad request. Therefore, we recommend you submit each type of system-generated email you'd be interested in customizing as its own feature request.
Yes, this would be very helpful. I change everyone at this point and it would be much easier to be able to save it. Or at least for me please change your invite letter to read "respond to me" instead of "myself". My grammar correction program keeps prompting me to make the correction everytime.
I agree with having the ability to save a custom message because I currently have to copy and paste a message that I want to use into the "Invite to Join" message box.
Good idea. The current Invite to Join message says it is prom the Property Manager when in face it comes from a Website Administrator.
@Kim Wilcox: The "Invite to join" message is a standard block of text we've written followed by your name and email address as listed on the member profile you're logged into. If it's not pulling the correct information, this is likely because it's not listed correctly on the member profile.
@Meredith Owens: Attn Meredith,
I misspoke in my original comment. The Message unless it has changed since January list states you have been added when a board member imports a list . . . when in fact in our community, a website administrator imports the list, and in many cases the board doesn’t even know who moved in where until we (the admins) send them an email with the information. In the image below. The Addressee is a phony account we use while building out the site—indicated by he Cyan arrow. The part I was having trouble with was the area indicated by the red arrow We can live with it but it just isn’t how things work in our community.
@Kim Wilcox: Thanks for clarifying! Since this pertains to the email sent out after members are imported rather than the "invite to join" email, we created a new post for this request.
