Contact form status

As webmaster, I can view all Contact Form submissions made to our Board of Directors and various committees. However, I am unable to determine if the person submitting the form has been responded to. I am requesting there to be a status flag on the form (to be completed by the responder), such as "Open/Closed" or "Complete".
My pet peeve is for a member to submit a form and never receive a response. This will also help in situations where multiple board or committee members receive a copy of the form but are themselves unsure if anyone has responded yet.

Yes, please! Something like this is sorely needed!
One of our new board members just submitted some ideas for improving our POA request form. One suggestion was to send a customized, automatic email reply to acknowledge that the form was received and what to expect next (instead of the transient, canned message that briefly appears when the form is submitted). Even better, the automatic reply could include a copy of the form submission for the owner/resident's records.

Great idea Gary! We are strugging with the same issues, residents reporting problems and then no follow-up by the board. I set up submission forms to make it easier for residents to report problems, however we're needing exactly the same thing you are. We'd really like some way to track the follow-up status as well as visibility to all board members as to what issues are being addressed and which are not.
We're curretly looking into 3rd party services to have a more structured ticketing and work-order tracking sysem. Anything that HOA Express could to to add just a few more features to handling the status of submitted issues, it sure would help!

100% in agreement regarding responses. Adding a status block, date would be a tremendous addition. Concerning responses, official responses/ reply’s should automatically be sent to the “Secretary”, as an option. (Such requests for information should be copying the Secretary as Standard course of action)

It might be even more helpful to know who the responder was and when it occurred.

Stuart Koop: The "View submission history" option on the "Contact Form" and "Custom Form" pages will provide information about who submitted the form and when! An example is provided below.

Meredith Owens: I think Stuart is saying it would help to know who responded to the the form submission and when. There's currently no way to way to track if a form recipient ever responded when a form has been submitted.

That sounds like a great idea. All our community gets is the standard "we'll-get-back-to-you" message, but we don't know if anyone ever follows up. I really like the flag idea!
