You recently posted an article that described HOA transparency requirements in Florida. Is there such an article for Vermont HOAs?

Although our blog article, Complying with Florida HOA and condo website requirements, was written with Florida’s regulations in mind, it can also serve as inspiration for communities in other states, since Florida requires many commonly useful pieces of information members may want to have available on their website. However, we recommend consulting an attorney in your state to determine the specific regulations your community may need to comply with.
Our team is open to writing similar guides for other states in the future, so be sure to follow our blog and subscribe to email updates when we publish new posts!

Wa state has enacted many new requirements that will cost HOAs thousands of dollars in attorney fees and place heavy burdens on HOA Boards who are required by law to be uncompensated volunteers. The state offers no training, guidance or financial support.

Yes, the Florida legislature passed legislation that all HOA's with more than 25 units/owners had to have a website in place by 1/1/26. This is likely why HOA Express posted the article related to HOA's in Florida.

As an FYI -- We are a Florida condominium association. I can tell you that Florida condos are the most regulated in the country. HOAs are also heavily regulated in this state. The Legislature is constantly adding new laws, with transparency being their biggest focus the last two years. This may be why the article focused on Florida.
