"Choose one" default for preset answers on survey

For survey questions that require respondent to pick from a list, make "Choose one" the default option for the first answer. Otherwise, the first item in the list becomes the default and, therefore, may be inaccurately overweighted in responses.

Survey preset choices should show "Select one" as first option

Currently, Preset Choices in a survey will allow the survey to be submitted without forcing the person to actually select a response from the choices listed. It just defaults to the first choice in the dropdown. It should instead show "Select One" listed first in the dropdown and then if they haven't selected a response other than that, they should not be allowed to submit the survey until they actually make a selection from a response choice below "Select One". This is standard practice for most surveys and forms.

This is a no brainer to prevent false results for surveys

Owners need the ability to see survey answers without one of those answers being the “default” otherwise they cry foul. The below image shows, w/only 2 options as answers, why it’s so important to allow each of the answer to be equivalent when the owner is reading their options, rather than defaulting to one of the options.

This happens to us on EVERY survey. No matter how "creative" we've been in making sure they don't select it. It not only skews the survey, it denies the user the ability voice their answer.

Adding my name to this one, we just had a survey where our board accused a committee of skewing a survey but it's really just the way it's designed.

This is really necessary. Having one answer as a default makes people think that the creator of the survey intentionally weighted one answer over another
