Add additional sending frequency options for What's Happening emails, such as daily, biweekly, and bimonthly.
Daily is a must. Info gets stale in a week. Can’t rely on homeowners to “pull”.
I'm now even more convinced of the need for a daily option for "What's Happening." This morning I got the message regarding a new addition to the Forum page. I went to our website to read the new posting. When I got there, I did not see any new postings for the Forum. I went back to make sure the message was about a new posting on the Forum page, and that was correct. It took me a few more minutes to discover the last posting was actually one that I had made, but that was 5 days ago.
Just as I was confused, certainly some of our homeowners, who may have already read the posting in the last 5 days, were as well confused. My concern is if this scenario repeats itself to many times, our homeowners will lose faith in the pronouncements of new additions to the Forum page and not respond in a timely fashion, because what was said to be new, for them it was not.
I'm for adding daily and weekly. I'm assuming if noting new has happened, then no notice is sent out regardless of the setting.
@Robert Harding: We currently offer a "weekly" sending frequency for the What's Happening emails! If you have this selected, those emails will go out on Monday mornings.
You're also correct that if there isn't any new content or upcoming events posted to your website, a What's Happening email will not be delivered.
In addition to weekly, monthly, never . . . can you please add "Biweekly" to your drop-down menu?
Add the option to send out What's Happening emails daily.
I'm one of the people who asked for this. The reason I think this is desired and perhaps even necessary for us is that we are providing value for dues in the form of information exchange on the website. Without the option to get regular updates of what is going on, we rely on neighbor "pull" and we all know that people don't go to the website that much.
For those of you who participate in the Nextdoor platform, you know what I mean. I would never go there if it weren't for those daily digests that let me see if there is something interesting.
There is another feature request about classified ads generating instant notifications. One or the other is really necessary to make classified ads useful to the Listing Party - otherwise there is not enough eyeballs on it to make it worth while (between Craigslist and Nextdoor, the last place I personally would go "shopping" as a buyer is our POA website. But if new "for sale" items are pushed to me, then I might be interested in something that gets listed.)
