Add "Vacant seat" to the "Board Members" and "Committees" pages
Rob Hanssen
In our community, we have a board of director's seat that is vacant. Right now, we show this by creating a user with name Vacant, but is there a better way to do this?
Can HOA-Express build in a "vacant seat" function for the board and committees?

This would be a good feature. Thanks for the work around ideas.

I think my request would be related... Some members have not joined our website, so the ability to "write-in" a name (instead of being limited to selecting one that exists) to the Board Members page would be hugely helpful as we are required to publish it for our community.

Mike Wish: The "Board Members" page type has been designed to pull member information from their registered profiles to populate that page. If a member doesn't already have a registered account and needs to be listed on that page, an administrator can create one on their behalf. To do so, you'll want to use the import feature, which you can read more about here: https://help.hoa-express.com/en/articles/2347796-about-importing-members.

As a workaround, I've created a number of "users" on our site to fill some of these roles. One of which is "Vacant Position" with an address tied to our HOA's PO Box. You can then list this user in the Board Members page which should serve the purpose you're trying to fulfill.

This would be great.

As a work around, couldn’t you set up ‘Vacant Seat’ as a community member & use as necessary?

Yes, would be very useful.

Wonderful idea, especially when not all terms on the Board expire at the same time and need to keep track if a 1, 2, or 3 year Board vacancy is available.
