Add rotating photos using images from photo galleries

It would be nice to have the rotating photos on the home page access one of the photo galleries on our site instead of having to upload other additional photos

I agree! It would be great to be able to rotate through 4 or 5 photos on the home page which is about as long as a person might stay at the home page. I hope this can be implemented.

That would be a great addition to the website. Also make them a little larger.

Good idea. Could the feature accommodate selecting a separate gallery to pull from and address the concerns about private photos being displayed on the public home page? Alternatively, could specific photos be selected from a photo gallery?

i agree with Adriene that we don't want a furious parent objecting to the unintentional use of child's photo. I like the idea of being able to adjust the size of the photo, but prefer that I control the photos that are seen on a public site.

Mmmm...not saying it's a bad idea, but here's something to keep in mind:
If your site's Home or landing page is publicly viewable to non-residents, there could be privacy or intellectual property issues with certain photos, especially if they contain kids (minors). Even so, it's always a good idea to have a disclaimer on your gallery's upload page that grants you royalty-free license to use uploaded photos in this manner. (The photo's owner clicks a box to agree to the terms.)
Trust me, you don't want a furious parent objecting to images of their kid showing up through a home page rotation you didn't know about/ don't control, where anyone could potentially download it. An HOA's website is not the same as social media where the user is in control. IMHO curated images for the Home page is a safer option, provided the Admin is careful with what is put there.

Fantastic idea, it will make the website always seem new!!

Good idea. Adding a caption would also be hwlpful

Potentially useful option, but definitely agree with re-sizing options on directory, etc.
Jim Tomasetti
Also give the administrator the option of adjusting the size of the photos (small, med, large) will do.
