Add AI chatbot capabilities

Everyone wants to pull info off the documents on the website. Create a way to store them all in a large database and let users ask chat questions. This is great for things like “Condo Rules” - which can have 10+ files that owners need to navigate.
Likewise, we’d like to be able to search the financial documents and manager reports. Without that the site lacks critical functionality.
I’d be happy to test this.

Provide the ability to search the documents and content of pages with an AI type search. For example, what types and hights of fences are allowed. The system would search the Bylaws document and any page that contains this information like the Forum and FAQ pages.

So, I finally figured out how to create an AI-based Chatbot that can have 30 or 40 documents in it to securely give our board and property manager complete access to 90% of the information on our website. It turns out that you can do so relatively easily, and we were able to integrate it into HOA Express simply. If anyone has an interest in this, feel free to reach out to me: Stuart Kerr.
I'm a big fan of HOA Express, and if we can all help augment it with other tools, we can do some great things together!

Anything to supplement the tools we have would be welcome. I do have a question about data integrity. I guess it depends on how AI is used. Putting my hand up to Beta Test (Pick me, pick me). if you have the test scripts I would be happy to run some scenarios. Understanding the quirks early on helps when you get into bug/fix mode.

I use AI for work everyday, but interpreting and summarizing legal documents may create issues if inaccurate OR may be of no use, if it replies, "It’s always best to check with your local city or county planning department or HOA Declaration for specific regulations in your neighborhood". (this is a typical response when asking legal questions.) On a related note, does anyone have a legally binding Declaration that is easier to understand and search? I have looked and they all seem to be varying degrees of confusing depending on the attorney that wrote them and if they were written prior to development begins or after it ends.

Absolutely great idea! I think LLM technology and app integrations are now becoming mature enough to consider this in earnest. Just over the past 4 months, my company has adopted using GPTs/LLMs everyday for both complex and routine tasks.
I know new development projects and technical integrations aren't ever as easy as everyone thinks, but it would probably be a worthy business investment to offer AI as a discriminator to potential clients. I'm sure it will be a selection criteria for clients in 1-2 years from now.
1) Member facing chat for answering routine questions submitted through Contact Us, especially concerning our Bylaws, policies, calendar events, and even architectural guidelines. We could load up the pertinent documents to be read by an LLM.
2) Management facing chat for the Board and Manager to perform some rapid research against lists of owners, piles of financials, or years of meeting minutes.
I'm sure you've already got a lot of stuff on your development backlog, but I appreciate that you've surfaced this issue and willing to get customer feedback. Good luck!

This would be an easy widget to add, where communities could add their own FAQs for the AI to read and summarize. Along with community docs. Take a look
At ResPage as an example. Great AI chatbot for our apartment communities with both a bot for residents and prospective tenants.
