Ability for admins to register new members/accounts via the UI
Wes Cossick
Currently, admins can register new members/accounts by using the import tool. This tool is especially well-suited for admins who are creating members and accounts in bulk.
However, if an admin is looking to create a single or small number of new accounts, this tool may be overly complicated—particularly for admins who are less tech-savvy.
Instead, it could be beneficial to introduce a registration form in the Admin Control Panel similar to the one residents use themselves on the website. This form would allow an admin to register a new account, without having to pick passwords for its members.

Online form to add one member

Your Member import page (https://amberley.communitysite.com/admin/members/import) requires the use of a .CSV file to insert new accounts. This is fine for a mass import at the beginning, but becomes a PIA after that as you need to add single accounts occasionally. Please set up an alternative submission form on this page that allows admins to submit single account setup info. It may seem silly to you, but it is a huge friction point to your users. (PS the .csv file always seems to fail when I use Excel, but works fine with Numbers.)

Absolutely....We need an easy way to add a couple of members from time to time. Putting them into a data base and then importing is cumbersome. PLEASE MAKE THIS EASIER!!

Just adding my voice to this.
We have 1-2 new residents per month in our HOA, and I'd like to proactively add them to our site rather than wait for them to register themselves. Using the import method is a bit tedious for such small numbers, though.

Hi - I am evaluating your software now and am kind of surprised this feature isn't already available. Even very large software companies that offer commercial packages with tens of thousands of users that are imported / updated daily also offer a form to add individual members. Pleas add this!

Mark Cerretani: While this particular feature isn't currently available, administrators can register members by filling out the registration form on the website rather than importing them. However, they would need to set up a password for the member, which they could later change. To avoid having to do that, we're considering the above request.

I second Dawn's comment. Please let me know when this feature is available. We don't usually get emails when new residents move in but are notified of the name. At that point I'd like to add them so they are at least in the directory for other residents, but I'd rather do this without having to go through the upload template feature.

I would love to have the ability to add a single account for those new owners that simply cannot do it, such as the older less tech savvy set.

The import tool is very good for the first time creation of the membership. However, once the entire membership has been established, only changes to memberships at particular addresses are needed. The current system requires the following:
- Delete the existing member/account at an address
- Create an excel spreadsheet with the new member/account information and save it as a .csv file for that address
- import the new member(s)/account
While I understand the issues with creating a method to edit existing accounts, it still annoys me to have to go through the entire delete/recreate process every time a house is sold and new members need to be added to that account.

Gregg Ney: When a household moves away from your community, their account should be deleted from your website. Otherwise, if you were to swap the old members with the new ones on the same account, past data tied to that account would be visible to the new household—which is a privacy concern.

Meredith Owens: Good point. It's still a cumbersome process ;)

I agree - it would be much more efficient to directly enter new account info into a web screen than have to create a .csv file every time I want to upload a new account, assuming the system will perform the same quality control that the upload feature provides.
