While it’s not possible to tell whether a phone number is capable of receiving text messages prior to attempting to send one, once an attempt is made, our text messaging provider can tell whether it failed due to the number being unable to receive text messages. If this happens, it usually means the phone number is a landline.
Now, our system will remember when this happens and avoid sending text messages to these known incompatible numbers. Recipients with these known incompatible numbers also won’t be included in the text message credit cost.
