Page menu not displaying for logged in users

Some logged-in members do not see the sidebar menu pages populate. For some, the issue occurs immediately after logging in; for others, it appears after a period of inactivity.
ORIGINAL POST:
When a member is logged into the website, sometimes after a period of inactivity, the sidebar menu pages disappear. The user then has to refresh the page on their browser for those pages to be visible again in the menu.

Richard Brown: I apologize, you were mistakenly added to this bug report.
Our conversation records show that several months ago we were able to resolve this in the past with the information shared by our engineering team. However, if you're still experiencing trouble logging in, we'd be happy to look further into this with you! Our customer success team will reach out to you separately today.

Good morning. Thank you for your reply. I went to his house myself when I clicked to save his name and password. There's a two-step process for him to log into. I've been having complaints from all the owners about this. They don't want the two-step. If they sign in, they should be signed in. But on a much serious notice, it's more serious because I'm the president, and. I never log in. I have one area on my emails that I saved, and that's the only way I can log in: go back there and click, and re. Send a new password. It never sends me a password and lets me log in. Otherwise, as president of this association, I can't use your service. Or your site, which concerns me, because my term is up next year and it's going to go to somebody else and it doesn't work for me. I've explained to you when I tried to log in, it. Comes up with a. Funny saying. I sent it to you numerous times. Nobody bothered to correct that. Here's the problem: I've changed my password 3 times. Our computer guy has come here and looked at it, said it's on your end, and nobody from your company's bothered to call and fix it other than to give excuses. So now that we're talking, I'd like to get somebody on the phone that's technical and fix this today. Rick Brown.

Richard Brown - no, that is not the case. i log in, and i get full set of optoins. when logging in, i select REMEMBER ME. if i then exit out of browser, and come back, i am STILL logged in, it has my name at the top, in that drop down it has option for LOG OUT (which means i am logged in) and i only see the options for our non-members. I am administrator of our hoA. see attached, i am LOGGED IN even on the ADMINISTRATOR page, i am in PAGES, ableto edit and do ADMIN work, but i DO NOT HAVE any of the member options in the side menu
ADDENDUM - Richard - sorry, the above, i thought, was replying to your reply, but i did not realize you were talking about another member in YOUR association (I read today's replies and realized it). THiS THREAD, then, does not seem complete,as it does not have the starting point of your issue, and i think my issue got placed here by HOA express, thinking it was same topic (it is similar, but not the same). HOPEFULLY, HOA EXPRESS will work on both these issues and fix them...

Nicholas Spagnola: Yes, the behavior you've experienced is related to this bug report.
It appears that our system is showing the website to a user as if they’re not authenticated when they are signed in, but have left the page untouched for more than an hour.
Your community has the additional privacy setting enabled to hide restricted pages from those without access. Therefore, it's showing you what would be visible to someone not logged into the website.

Meredith Owens thanks for reply. BUT, that is not what is happening. the menu disappears once i leave that page at all, and come back even 2 minutes later. Login, see full menu, keep asREMEMBER ME, oeave that browser page, come back 2 minutes later, menu is gone. This is a BIG CHANGE/BUG from what used to be, menu would stay present. AND, the menu ShOULD STAY PRESENT if it is showing me as logged in. if the site wants to MASK stuff, it should log me out (which is NOT what i want it to do). As it is, i have to ACTIVELY SELECT log out, then log back in, and i MIGHT see the full menu, but again if any exiting of the browser, and back to it, i then don't see the menu. Again, this is far different than it used to do. And, for me as ADMINISTRATOR, it is NUTS, because i do NOT SEE the menu, but if i am at PAGES, i hae full control and access, so the SYSTEM knows that I am ME,and allowing me access on THAT admin page, with full menu, but not as a member, with same login.
something is broken

Nicholas Spagnola: Yes, the website is not designed to behave this way, and this is a bug our engineering team is actively investigating.
