Emails to comcast.net SPAM
complete

I've been using your email to manage emails to the board. Forwarding emails from board@lakearrowheadcondominium.com to each members personal account. Was working fine but last few weeks I've noticed they are all getting trapped as SPAM when sent to any email address at .comcast.net
This is a bit of a problem as the reliability is now in question.

Comcast has indicated that you can try sending from
@lakearrowheadcondominium.com
email accounts again.Comcast also mentioned a couple of things that can help teach their algorithm that messages are not spam:
- Adding @lakearrowheadcondominium.comemail addresses to the address book for@comcast.netrecipients.
- Emailing @lakearrowheadcondominium.comemail addresses from@comcast.netemail addresses and replying to those emails from the@lakearrowheadcondominium.comemail addresses.

Comcast has identified the issue as a false positive on their end for spam from the domain
lakearrowheadcondominium.com
. They are working to remove the false positive.Meredith Owens

We've reached out to our email account provider for assistance with looking into this.
Also, if the forwarded messages are being marked as spam, it’s could be due to the quality of the message being forwarded, not the forwarding itself. Therefore, we'd like to run a test.
I've sent an email to your board@lakearrowheadcondominium.com email address from my company email address. Please reply if that message is marked as spam by the Comcast email addresses!

It never occurred to me that our generic emails (board@, social@, etc.) would have the SPAM problem. Is there a way for me to check to see if ours are being flagged as spam?
This is a major problem with our regular email blasts and what's happening email, i.e., from blasts@ and no-reply@. We've often have problems with aol, yahoo, and msn. I monitor the blast communications stats and it's not easy to get our residents (over-55 community) to whitelist the email addresses.
Meredith Owens
Gina Arasin: We maintain incredibly high deliverability rates, making it unlikely that your email accounts are affected. However, if you have specific email addresses of concern, please contact our customer success team so we can investigate furhter!

Meredith Owens, I have a related question about email blast statistics.
I help another organization with their Mailchimp email blasts. I noticed a Mailchimp email statistics option that prompted a concern about HOA Express email blast open statistics.
Mailchimp's email open tracking is affected by Apple's Mail Privacy Protection (MPP), causing false open readings. Apple's MPP pre-fetches images, including tracking pixels, even if the email isn't opened, leading to inflated open rates. Mailchimp provides options to exclude MPP opens from reports, allowing for more accurate open data.
QUESTIONS: Does HOA Express include or exclude MPP opens from email blast open statistics?
Thanks,
Gina
Meredith Owens
Gina Arasin: That's a great question. The open tracking only provides an estimate, so we can't guarantee it always being 100% accurate. I'm afraid there is no way for any company sending emails to work around this limitation.
Apple and many other providers implement measures to prevent open tracking. In our reporting, we don’t exclude opens impacted by these privacy protection features.
Gina Arasin
Meredith Owens, Not sure if you addressed my specific question (see my previous note about how Mailchimp addresses MPP opens.
Meredith Owens
Gina Arasin: I'm happy to clarify the information shared. While Mailchimp does allow for the exclusion of opens influenced by MPP, our reporting does not currently implement this filter. As a result, the tracking isn't guaranteed to be 100% accurate, since these privacy measures can impact the reliability of the reported data. Therefore, the reporting on opens is intended to serve as an estimate.
Gina Arasin
Meredith Owens, Perhaps I should submit this as a new feature request. There are several reasons we need accurate (not estimate) open statistics. One is the problem of dropping emails from the distribution list (e.g., the original problem noted here) - I constantly monitor the open stats. The second is that our Committees and Board want to know that important communications are reaching all of our residents. I would like to have accurate statistics to provide this data. If the technology is there to provide the info, I request that you use it.

Gina Arasin: Our engineers have shared that email clients and providers take a myriad of steps to protect their users’ privacy, which makes it impossible to determine with certainty whether an email has truly been opened.
While some software may offer the option to exclude Mail Privacy Protection (MPP) opens from reports, no email sending provider can detect with 100% accuracy whether an email has been opened or not by the user.

I've also had it happen with aol.com email addresses.

Whenever I get notifications of HOA Express emails going to spam and then suppressed by the system, 99% are to a comcast.net account.
