Privileges for sending emails - more focused
Mary Haislip
The ability to provide restrictions on who can send emails to whom would be very helpful. Right now, a person with Communications privileges can send to any account type or group. Looking for the ability to narrow their sending capability to certain account types (or even certain groups).
Wendy Bondeson
It would be great to be able to assign rights/privileges to who can see communications sent to certain groups. If communications are sent amongst board members, those communications should be restricted to board members only, not everyone who has communications rights. Please consider this change.

i agree we need of the capability to permit various Communication features and functions separately to authorized members. While some members may be authorized to send emails, they should not be authorized to send other forms of communication (text or regular mail) without separate authorization.

We need someone with communication privilege to be able to send an email restricted to one account type. We have 16 account types (neighborhoods) and we want the ability for one person per account type/neighborhood to be able to send an email without giving them full access to the other 15 account types.

More granularity of communication privileges

Need the capability to permit various Communication features/functions separately to authorized members. While some members may be authorized to send emails, they should not be authorized to send other forms of communication (text or regular mail) without separate authorization. This represents real $$$ to our association when global privileges are misused.

Allows admins to only send communications to certain groups
Denise Richards
Allow administrators with the "communications" privilege to only send emails to a specific group.
ORIGINAL POST:
Is it possible to allow a member to send email blasts but only to certain groups so that they don't accidentally blast the wrong members or create spam to all members?
Meredith Owens
Denise Anderson: To clarify, are you referring to members with the "communications" administrative privilege or members in general?
Denise Richards
Meredith Owens: they would have communications privilege but only to email blast a specific group.
Meredith Owens
Denise Richards: Thank you for clarifying this! We've updated the post description to align with this. Also, we have another post open with this request, so we'll merge the two.

Restrict who people can send blast emails to
Denise Richards
Restrict admins with "communications" privilege to only be able to send blast emails to specific groups.
Meredith Owens
Received an additional request to make this privilege more flexible by only allowing certain members to send blast emails from a particular community-branded email account.
